Miasto Tczew również partnerem PSC 2023 / The City of Tczew is also a partner of PSC 2023

Na koniec roku otrzymaliśmy też informację, że największe  z miast gospodarzy - Tczew ,również zostało partnerem Pomorze Sprint Cup 2023.

At the end of the year, we also received information that the largest of the host cities - Tczew, also became a partner of Pomorze Sprint Cup 2023.

To niezwykle ważna decyzja ponieważ w Tczewie spędzimy na sportowo całą sobotę 27 maja. Rano biegać będziemy tam etap II, a po południu etap III zawodów. Dla elity żeńskiej i męskiej będą to dodatkowo eliminacje, ćwierćfinały, półfinały  finał Nock Out Sprint-u.

Szczególną i jedną z najbardziej znanych atrakcji Tczewa są 2 zabytkowe mosty. Jako pierwszy powstał most drogowy (1851 - 1857), który był wówczas najdłuższym mostem w Europie i jednym z najdłuższych mostów na świecie (837 m). Kiedy jeden most przestał wystarczać zbudowano też drugi most – kolejowy, który powstał w latach 1888 - 1890, Na samym początku II wojny Światowej, 1 września 1939 roku oba mosty zostały wysadzone w powietrze przez żołnierzy. W wyniku zniszczeń pozostały tylko 4 neogotyckie wieżyczki mostu, który pierwotnie miał 10 wież i dwie bramy wjazdowe.  Do czasów obecnych zachowały się również tylko trzy oryginalne przęsła. Pomimo tego, w 1991 roku Most Tczewski został uznany przez American Society of Civil Engineers za międzynarodowy zabytek inżynierii budowlanej.

Dużą atrakcją Tczewa jest też  działające od 39 lat Muzeum Wisły, które jest oddziałem Centralnego Muzeum Morskiego w Gdańsku. Głównym powodem jego lokalizacji  było położenie miasta i jego dzieje nierozerwalnie związane z dziejami Wisły. Nie dziwi więc fakt, że pierwsza wystawa muzealna nosiła tytuł: "Dzieje żeglugi Wiślanej" , która obecnie jest wystawą stałą.  Z dumą można przyznać, że jest to jedyna taka placówka w Polsce, a czwarta na świecie. Od stycznia 2007 roku w Muzeum działa również nowoczesne Centrum Regionalno-Wystawiennicze Dolnej Wisły.

Biegając na Pomorze Sprint Cup 2023 obie te atrakcje będziecie mieli okazję obie te atrakcje z bliska, a dodatkowo zajrzymy w takie zakątki Starego Miasta, którymi rzadko prowadzą trasy wycieczek turystycznych. Zapraszamy więc do Tczewa.

This is an extremely important decision because we will spend the entire Saturday, May 27, on sports in Tczew. In the morning we will run stage II there, and in the afternoon stage III of the competition. For the women's and men's elite, there will be additional eliminations, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final of the Nock Out Sprint.

Two historic bridges are a special and one of the most famous attractions of Tczew. The first road bridge was built (1851 - 1857), which was then the longest bridge in Europe and one of the longest bridges in the world (837 m). When one bridge was no longer enough, a second bridge was built - a railway bridge, which was built in the years 1888 - 1890. At the very beginning of World War II, on September 1, 1939, both bridges were blown up by soldiers. As a result of the destruction, only 4 neo-Gothic turrets of the bridge, which originally had 10 towers and two entrance gates, remained. Only three original spans have survived to this day. Despite this, in 1991, the Tczew Bridge was recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers as an international monument of civil engineering.

Another great attraction of Tczew is the Vistula Museum, which has been operating for 39 years, and is a branch of the Central Maritime Museum in Gdańsk. The main reason for its location was the location of the city and its history inextricably linked with the history of the Vistula River. It is not surprising then that the first museum exhibition was titled "History of Vistula Navigation", which is now a permanent exhibition. We can proudly say that it is the only such facility in Poland and the fourth in the world. Since January 2007, the Museum also houses a modern Regional and Exhibition Center of the Lower Vistula.

Running at the Pomerania Sprint Cup 2023, you will have the opportunity to see both of these attractions up close, and in addition, we will take a look at such corners of the Old Town, which are rarely found on tourist routes. So we invite you to Tczew.
